Virgin of the Conception

This bronze statue of the Virgin of the conception, richly adorned with a drapery, was placed to protect the city on March 24, 1696 within a niche obtained in the masonry in the corner of the Garampi palace, seat of the Municipality and the mayor of the city. The work is recognized to belong fully to the seventeenth century, for the imposing naturalism and the dynamic interpretation of the figure, a gestures that renews the act of entrusting the city of Rimini to Mary Immacolata, mother of Mercy.
