Japan 2018

The Kiso Valley has always served as a natural passageway trhough the Japan Alps and was, in fact, one of two official roads linking Kyoto and Edo (Tokyo) back in the days of the Tokugawa shogunate, the Nakasendo trail. The Kiso Valley's 11 post towns, particularly Tsumago and Magome, still retain much of that atmosphere and provides hikers with the experience of what it must has been like to travel this route.
