The Santa Maria in Trastever's façade is decorated with a beautiful 12th-century mosaic depicting Mary feeding Jesus surrounded by 10 women bearing lamps. The portico was added by Carlo Fontana in 1702, with its balaustrade decorated with statues of four popes.
