On the south wall, remains a polychrome crypt influenced by the Renaissance style of Duke René II. We recognize the Duke's favorite intercessors: Saint George, Saint Nicolas, the angel and the Virgin of the Annunciation, Saint Jerome and Saint Francis of Assisi, perched on the ducal and Lorraine coat of arms.
