The back of the tomb gives two scenes divided by a statue of Christ the Redeemer: on the left the Virgin heals and give the habit to the Blessed Reginal of Orleans, founder of the monastery in Bologna; on the right St. Dominic ask the Pope Innocent III to approve the Order.
