Hotels & Restaurants in Southwest France

In Toulouse - Hotel: Le Clocher de Rodez *** Good location. Difficult access to the rooms despite having a small elevator. The lobby was having a complete renovation I hope to be improved. The third bed in the triple room is not comfortable at all. The staff were friendly and professional.
Restaurant: Le Petit San Seb. *** Casual restaurant where they serve Spanish tapas. Beautiful, modern decoration. Pretty varied card, generous portions.
Restaurant: Café Saint Sernin **** Nice café in a quiet and beautiful area of the city, right where the Basilica of San Sernin is located. Good place to eat outdoors. The shade of large trees protects from the sun and heat. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The menu is limited but the salads are incredible. Service quick and prices moderate. To emphasize, already in almost all the countries of the European zone it is made -when we will learn in Madrid and the rest of the peninsula- the bottles of running and fresh water, without limit and without asking what they put in restaurants.
Restaurant: Bistro Regent **** Undoubtedly, one of the best restaurants we have tried in Toulouse. For a moderate price you can choose from veal, duck, salmon and other options, accompanied by homemade chips and salad, both in abundant quantities. We ordered fantastic duck magret, and the wine was unforgettable and at a good price. Highly recommended.
In Moissac - Restaurant: Le Florentin **** Located in the better place of the city, in front of the magnificent door of the Abbaye St-Pierre. The terrace is wonderful with good time. Friendly service and good food at reasonable prices. The salads are wonderful!.
In Cahors - Hotel: Le Relais des Anges ***** Located in the village of Mercuès, at 8 kms from Cahors. The property, built in 1823, formerly a Post and Coaching House, has only 5 guest rooms in a fine local stone building restored and decorated with great charm. The garden and the pool are perfect. The breakfast in the garden with homemade jams and cakes, unforgettable. Brigitte and Marc were very kind and charming. The best accommodation of our trip.
Restaurant: Le Lamparo *** The restaurant has a lovely location in a small plaza, on a small street in the centre of Cahors. It is very popular and unfortunatelly the terrace was full. The menu is very extensive, and the service attentive an quick.
Tea House: Le Jardin des Thés *** A charming tea room on a sunny square. A garden next door, a nice terrace with wrought iron tables and chairs. The indoor and outdoor decor is very successful. We discover a wide selection of teas, infusions, rooibos, organic coffees, and non-alcoholic beverage.
In St-Cirq-Lapopie - Restaurant: Lou Bolat *** We really enjoyed our long lunch out on the terrace of Lou Bolat. It was a perfect place to enjoy the nice weather and city view. The Galletes were very good and at a right sized portion. Prices are reasonable, service is friendly and efficient.
In Rocamadour - Hotel: Les Esclargies **** Beautiful hotel with wonderful large rooms and in a very peaceful and relaxing location and the better, you have an easy walk to Rocamadour. The staff, could not have been more helpful. Safe private parking, a hidden pool that we could not enjoy due to lack of time, and the breakfasts offered a great range of lovely things to eat. Absolutely would stay here again.
Restaurant: Au Panorama **** It is located on the corner of center L'Hospitalet entrance. In spite of its name, no panorama view is seen from this restaurant but good service and good atmosphere were in it. Not expensive and the food was good. We ate some salads for lunch and they were huge and delicious.
Restaurant: Les Jardins de la Louve **** The restaurant is located towards the end of the only street on the downhill side. The restaurant has a nice shady terrace, surrounded by greenery and flowers. Service was good, prices reasonable and the food highlighted local specialities.

Restaurant: Les Arcades **** It is located in a small square surrounded by medieval buildings and great ambience. All was really good, the duck was great, smooth and well accompained by a boletus souce, and several other dishes typical of the area. Not expensive and staff were lovely and friendly and service was good.

It is an easy walk to the old city, where there are countless restaurants. The owner was extremely helpful, carrying out suitcases up and down the staircase and making recommendations for eating. Private balcony with the most incredible view of the fort, great place to relax at night or have your coffee and croissant from one of the cafes on the street.
Restaurant: Adelaide **** Good restaurant with a terrace overlooking the castle. Tasty food but a bit slow service.
Restaurant: Pizzeria L'Atelier ** Quite small restaurant and very popular with both locals and tourists. Right on the main square adjacent to other bars and eating establishments. The outdoor tables where very, very hot in the hot day we stayed there. Very good selection of both salads, pizzas and othe italian dishes.
Restaurant: Le Saint Jean **** Great restaurant inside the Cité of Carcassonne with views to the fortress and the city wall. Food was ok and service average for a big tourist place such as this.
