both small and large groups. The food is representative of the local cuisine, try the pork dumplings and chicken soup. |

Restaurante: Salvador's **** Salvador's offers Mexican and Mediterranea cuisine, good coffee and teas and solid breakfasts.
Allways busy with travellers and foreing students it is a good place to vary from Chinese diet. |

Hotel: Huaqing Hotel *** Located near the Chaoyang Gate at the entrance of the old town. Rooms with the fair size and cleans. The hotel do not offer breakfast, but it can be took in another hotel not very distant. |

Hotel: Yun Ti Hotel *** A three stars hotel located in Xinjie Town a good place to explore the rice terraced fields. Staff do not speak english. The hotel is relatively basic
but the rooms are cosy and comfortable. |

Hotel: Sky Valley Heritage ***** This boutique hotel is located in an well restored historical building in Xizhou. The renovation has been done with great taste.
The lighting of the courtyards and the rooms is impressive. A great hotel in the middle of a haven of peace and nothing far from the areas to visit. Breakfast and dinner were also excellent.
Definitely a great success. The staff was attentive and friendly. |

Restaurant: Meizi Jing *** Located in a small alley of Renmin road. The restaurant is in a traditional family house with two courtyards.
Great selection of vegetables and noodles. Menu in Chinese with something in English. |

Hotel: InterContinental Lijiang Ancient Town Resort ***** Excelent luxury hotel. Perfect staff, cleanliness, breakfast and location.
The breakfast buffet is incredibly varied with all sorts of choices, both local and western. Located next to the Ancient town (with a direct access via the back gate).
The architecture of the hotel is classic Naxi style with modern touches, and rooms perfectly equiped and very well decorated. |

Restaurant: Yi Pin Xiang *** Good restaurant in a quite place. The menu is in english although the waiters do not speak it at all. Good prices and good food. |

Hotel: Songtsam Retreat Shangri-La ***** It is a fantastic boutique hotel built in Tibetan-style. The resort was right behind the SongZanLin monastery in a very quiet location.
The staff very pleasant and attentive. The breakfast superb. An unforgettable experience. |
