The Asenevtsi Monument built in 1985 marks the 800th anniversary of the founding of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom. The monument features a mighty sword, with Asen, Petrus, Ivan Asen II and Kaloyan astride horses. The four tsars ruled the kingdom from 1185 to 1241.
