Ribe is one of Denmark's older towns and also one of the best preserved. It contains many fine buildings including a medieval cathedral and a historic Town Hall. The medieval centre is
beautifully preserved and features a maze of cobbled streets lined with crooked, half-timbered houses. On a charming note, the town watchman still makes his rounds, armed with his lantern and trusty staff.
