Above the altar rises a deliciously over-the-top decorative ensemble, a swirling mass of beatific-look cherubs being sucked into a heavenly whirlpool, surrounded by angels, gilded sun rays breaking out in all directions, the whole thing leading towards a central stained-glass window.
