Senegal 2012

About 3Km from Dakar's shore is Île de Gorée (Gorée Island), declared in 1978 an UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a mythical place for being one of the earliest european settlements in West Africa and for being one of the main focus of slave trade between XVI and XIX centuries. Today is a place of pilgrimage for slave descedants and many other visitants.
