The Dodecanese 2017

Rhodes, the capital of the Dodecanese, is by far the most visited of all Greek islands. It was part of both the Roman and the Byzantine empires, before being conquered by the Knights of St John. Ottoman an Italian rulers followed. Now, its star attraction is the beautiful medieval Old Town, a maze of cobbled streets overcrowded at day but magical at night. Further, the island have plenty of beaches, wooded valleys and ancient history.
