Rhineland-Palatinate 2024

Bonn, the capital of the Federal Republic of Germany between 1949 and 1991, was founded by the Romans and flourished thanks to the archbishops of Cologne. It gained fame because Ludwing van Beethoven was born here in 1770, and Robert Schumann spent the final years of his life in the city.
